Coralville Sidewalk Project 2017: Zone 3

This project will repair existing sidewalks that are out of compliance with City Standards as well as complete any missing sidewalk segments within the area designated Zone 3. Zone 3 is the area generally located north of Interstate 80, east of Interstate 380, south of Forevergreen Road, and west of CRANDIC Railroad. Bids will be received in early April with construction occurring April 16, 2018 through June 1, 2018.

Work shall conform to Iowa SUDAS 2018 Standard Specifications which are available online at www.iowasudas.org
Traffic control is incidental and shall conform to the Manual on Uniformed Traffic Control Design (MUTCD) 2009
The City will not provide a location to store equipment overnight.
No individual permits are required.
All ADA ramps to be built either 5' or 8' wide with 6" thick ramp and turning space. Turning space will have cross slope not less than 1% and not greater than 2% in all directions.
Contact Engineering Department personnel if water valves are located in the sidewalk prior to pavement removal.
Backfill and grading are incidental. Finished yards shall have a maximum 4:1 slope.
Disposal of cut or importing fill dirt is incidental for new construction and curb ramp areas.
Yard restoration is incidental. Use SUDAS Type 1 mix and hydro-seed application.

A Bid Bond must be returned with the proposal form to be considered for the project.
Details about insurance required for the awarded bid can be found in the General Conditions section of the proposal paperwork.
Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the awarded bid will be required.
Sealed Proposals due by 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 3, 2018, to Coralville City Clerk, 1512 7th St.
Project working days are 4/16/2018 thru 6/1/2018.
