Save a Life, Get a Burrito 

Give back at community blood drive

Friday, October 16 | 2:30-6:30 pm

All successful donors at the Coralville fall blood drive will receive a free burrito coupon from Panchero's. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. One donation can save up to three lives! Learn more

Fire Department Hosts Annual Chili Supper

The Coralville Fire Department will host a chili supper at Fire Station #1; all proceeds go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Miracle Burn Camp. Learn more

Meet the Candidates

City election candidates host open house

Thursday, October 29 | 7:00-9:00 pm

Meet the three candidates on the ballot for the upcoming Coralville city election. Mayor John Lundell, City Council member Jill Dodds, and City Council member Mitch Gross, incumbents, are running unopposed for re-election. Stop by to talk to the candidates, ask questions, and discuss community issues. Learn more

Lunch special at Divots

Fall Hours at Divots! Bar & Restaurant

Divots, a public restaurant at Brown Deer Golf Club, is open daily, 11:00 am-8:00 pm, for lunch and dinner through October 30. From October 31 through November 15, Divots will be open for lunch, 11:00 am-2:00 pm, and for snacks and beverages while the course is open. The fall lunch special is a half sandwich and a cup of soup for $8.00!
Divots will close for the season after November 15, but is a great space to host holiday parties during the winter! Learn more

Fall leaves

Are your leaves beginning to fall?

Biodegradable yard waste bags are $1 each at City Hall, Coralville Hy-Vee, Lenoch and Cilek Ace Hardware, and Theisen’s.  Annual yard waste stickers can be purchased for $25 at City Hall.  Mulching or composting leaves are alternatives to raking. Learn more

Trick or Treating in Coralville

Saturday, October 31 | 5:30-8:00 pm

Coralville’s city-wide Halloween trick or treating hours will be from 5:30 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 31. From little pumpkins to big goblins, all trick or treaters should be with an adult. Learn more

What’s Happening at the Library

Library’s Golden Anniversary Culminates with Jane Smiley Reading
