Where to cool off in Coralville

The City offers several public facilities where residents can cool off when outdoor temperatures are on the rise.  Places to cool off

Stay safe in the heat

With peak heat indices expected to reach the triple digits through July 20, take steps to stay safe in the hot temperatures:

  • Limit time outdoors
  • Stay hydrated
  • Don't leave children or pets in a parked car
  • Check on neighbors who don't have air conditioning
  • Make sure pets have fresh water and shade when outside
  • Walk pets on the grass if possible; concrete and asphalt can get hot enough to burn a pet's paws
