What’s Open, What’s Closed

City schedule for Presidents’ Day holiday

Monday, February 18

On Presidents' Day, City offices and the Library will be closed. Coralville Transit buses will run a normal schedule, and the Recreation Center and Indoor Pool will be open. Holiday schedule

City Budget Information

Public hearing for proposed budget

Join us for a public hearing for the proposed budget for the City’s next fiscal year on Tuesday, February 26, at 6:30 pm at the City Council meeting in City Hall. Join us in person, watch live on Mediacom 118-8 or online, catch a rebroadcast, or stream the video later.

The proposed budget for the City's next fiscal year maintains the same property tax levy rate for the tenth consecutive year. Look for detailed budget information in the spring Connection, scheduled to reach mailboxes in mid-February. Budget process

Construction Updates

Finishing 1st

The final remaining improvements for the 1st Avenue reconstruction project between 6th Street and 9th Street will resume this spring, with the project scheduled to be complete in June. Drivers should expect lane closures this spring, but efforts will be made to minimize the impact to traffic. Finishing 1st

Coral Ridge Ave

Coral Ridge Avenue improvements

The last major work items on the Coral Ridge Avenue reconstruction project from Oakdale Boulevard to Forevergreen Road will be completed this spring, including the remaining intersection paving at University Parkway, Wheaton Road, and Forevergreen Road. Lane closures are expected with efforts made to minimize the impact to traffic, and the project is scheduled to be complete in July. Coral Ridge Avenue
