Metro area bicycle master plan

Help Plan for the Future of Bicycling in Coralville – and Beyond

Share input about facilities, policies, and programs that impact local bicycling

Tuesday, February 12 | 6:00-7:30 pm

Whether you bike year round or only occasionally, your input about local bicycling conditions can help set a foundation to make area bicycling safer and easier in Johnson County.

The Metropolitan Planning Organization of Johnson County will host a public meeting at the Coralville Public Library to get feedback about opportunities for better connectivity between metro communities and to the county trail system. Biking


Cold Temperatures Prompt Trash & Recycling Collection Delay

Blame it on the polar vortex

Due to extremely cold temperatures, trash and recycling is being picked up one day later than usual for Wednesday and Thursday routes.

Wednesday routes are picked up on Thursday, January 31, and Thursday routes will be picked up on Friday, February 1.  The forecast shows the arctic air subsiding, and regular pickup resumes on February 4. Trash & recycling collection


City Budget Information

Presentation of proposed budget

Tuesday, February 12 | 6:30 pm

The proposed budget for the City’s next fiscal year will be presented on Tuesday, February 12, at 6:30 pm at the City Council meeting in City Hall.
Join us in person, watch live on Mediacom 118-8 or online, catch a rebroadcast, or stream the video later. The City Council will hold a public hearing on the budget at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, February 26.
Look for detailed budget information in the spring Connection, scheduled to reach mailboxes in mid-February.

The Who's Tommy: In Concert

Presented by City Circle Acting Company. Based on the iconic 1969 rock concept album, this is an exhilarating story of hope, healing, and the human spirit.
