Veterans Day Holiday (observed)

What's open, what's closed

Monday, November 12

Veterans Day is Sunday, November 11. In observance of Veterans Day, City offices and the library will be closed on Monday. Coralville Transit will run normal routes and schedules. Trash and recycling pickup will be one day later than usual all week.

Free bus rides for veterans

Monday, November 12

On Monday, veterans and eligible veterans using ADA paratransit can ride Coralville Transit for free; veterans should show a military ID when boarding the bus.

Hear from legislators when they come to City Hall to share their views on the upcoming session and answer questions. The program begins at 4:30 pm. This event is open to the public. Please join us! Open house

1st Ave

Road Reconstruction Projects Near Final Stretch

1st Avenue

Head-to-head traffic continues on the new west half of 1st Avenue from 6th Street to 9th Street. Crews are preparing to pave the final section of mainline paving on the east half of 1st Avenue from just north of the railroad crossing to the north end of the project. Work is ongoing to complete the last sections of sidewalk along the west side of 1st Avenue. 1st Avenue improvements

Coral Ridge Ave

Coral Ridge Avenue

One lane of traffic in each direction is expected to move onto the new Coral Ridge Avenue pavement between Oakdale Boulevard and Wheaton Road the week of November 12. Northbound Coral Ridge Avenue traffic will then shift back to the west half of the road at Wheaton Road while paving work continues on the east half of the Wheaton Road intersection. The project is scheduled for substantial completion in late-November.
