Gather with friends and neighbors for a free community meal, hosted by the Coralville Public Library and the Coralville Community Food Pantry.

Bring lawn chairs and blankets for locally-sourced tacos, apple desserts, live music, and kids’ activities, plus the library will stay open later. Taco ‘bout awesome. Learn more

During Mayor’s Clean up Week, you can throw away big, unusable items that won’t fit in your trash cart—like broken furniture or busted bathroom fixtures—for free pickup on trash day.

If you have unwanted (but usable) building and housing materials and appliances, consider donating them to ReStore. Learn more

Have a morning cup of coffee at Starbucks on 2nd Street with the Coralville Police Department on National Coffee with a Cop Day.

It's a great time for anyone in the community to stop by and say hello, ask questions, discuss concerns, and get to know the Coralville Police Department outside of a crisis situation, all over a cup of coffee in a casual setting. Learn more

Find Fall Flavors at the Farmers’ Market

Last chance to make it a “Market Monday”

Autumn is here, and the Coralville Farmers’ Market is open for one last evening. Stop by the parking lot of the Coralville Community Aquatic Center for locally-grown produce, fresh baked goods, and more. After October 2, the Market will close for the season and will return next May. Learn more

“It’s a Mystery” Discussion:

Missing Pieces by Heather Gudenkauf

Wednesday, October 11 | 10:00 am

Jack has been haunted for decades by the untimely death of his mother under mysterious circumstances. When Jack’s aunt is in an accident, he and his wife are forced to confront the past. Gudenkauf is an Iowa author. Learn more

Alexander Chee to Receive Paul Engle Prize

Thursday, October 12 | 7:00 pm

Alexander Chee will receive the Paul Engle Prize, presented by the Iowa City UNESCO City of Literature organization, during a ceremony at the Coralville Public Library as part of the Iowa City Book Festival.

The event will include remarks by Chee and a conversation between Chee and Iowa City novelist Garth Greenwell. A reception and book signing will follow. The Library will close at 5:00 pm to prepare for this event, which is free and open to the public. Learn more
