Celebrate the “Week of the Young Child” at the Iowa Children’s Museum at Coral Ridge Mall. The Coralville Police Department will be inside the mall with a squad car, registration information for Safety Village, and badge stickers. Kids and adults can give the police a hand and put their handprints—using real fingerprint ink—on the hood of a squad car! Learn more

Whether you want to declutter and donate items or just look for treasures, Recycle Swap Day keeps usable items out of the landfill. Donations of clean, working items are welcome. Food donations for the Coralville Community Food Pantry are accepted. Learn more

Throw away big, broken items (such as broken furniture or bathroom fixtures) for free pickup on trash day. 
Unwanted (but usable) building and housing materials and appliances can be donated to ReStore. Free pickup is available, donations are tax-deductible, and ReStore sells the items to support Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity. Learn more

Coralville is accepting applications for police officers through 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 3. Applicants will complete written and physical tests on May 20, as well as oral interviews in the days following. Learn more
