Police Department Promotes Two Officers

Clarahan and Sutton move up the ranks

The Coralville Police Department has announced the upcoming promotions of two longtime department members. Sergeant William Clarahan, who joined the department in 1995, will be promoted to lieutenant. Officer Jereme Sutton, who joined the department in 1999, will be promoted to sergeant. Learn more


4thFest Basket Auction

You never know what you might find

Saturday, April 8 | 4:30 pm

Discover the many items up for bid at the annual fundraiser for Coralville 4thFest. This year features everything from coffees to a kayak, Pilates to purses, an Echo to eastern Iowa wines, home décor to hotel stays, and much moreplus free popcorn and a chance to win DVDs of classic movies.

Auction items are donated by area businesses and individuals. The event is at Brown Deer Golf Club, and is free and open to the public. Learn more

We're Flushing Fire Hydrants

Hydrants north of I-80 flushed in the spring, south of I-80 in the fall

As part of routine water system maintenance, crews are flushing fire hydrants north of Interstate 80 in Coralville through late April.

It’s normal for water to be temporarily discolored after nearby hydrants are flushed, and it doesn’t affect water safety; if you notice this, run cold water from a faucet until the water clears. Learn more

Presented by West Music, Northwestern Mutual, and Steinway Pianos. University of Iowa doctors perform a variety of music; proceeds benefit University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. A reception begins at 6:30 pm. 

The Velveteen Rabbit

April 7-8

Presented by Young Footliters Youth Theatre. With a Victorian flavor, this heartwarming play creatively captures the magic of the original story about a stuffed animal made real by a child’s love.

My Fair Lady in Concert

Monday, April 10 | 7:30 pm

This minimally-staged performance of the beloved Lerner and Loewe musical features a twenty-nine piece orchestra and a bevy of local talent.


Friday, April 14 | 5:30 pm

Presented by Girls on the Run of Eastern Iowa. An evening of entertaining and thought-provoking independent films supports two great causes: Girls on the Run of Eastern Iowa and the Breast Cancer Fund.
