Curb It!

Yard waste collection season kicks off

Yard waste pick up resumes the week of March 20 on your regular garbage collection day. Annual yard waste stickers (to place on your own 33-gallon container) and biodegradable Coralville yard waste bags are on sale now.

You may notice our yard waste bags have a new look, but the previous ones will still be accepted at the curb. Learn more

Fire Hydrant Flushing Begins in Mid-March

Crews are flushing fire hydrants north of Interstate 80 in Coralville from mid-March through late April as weather allows. It’s normal for water to be temporarily discolored after nearby hydrants are flushed, and it doesn’t affect water safety; if you notice this, run cold water from a faucet until the water clears. One blood donation can save up to three lives

Be a hero without a badge: donate blood. The University of Iowa DeGowin Blood Center and the Coralville Police Department have again teamed up for a blood drive at Coralville City Hall. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Learn more
