Learn more about the Iowa River Landing Reinvestment District, see the district plans, and check out the latest drawings of the proposed Iowa Arena. Staff from the City and the Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau will be on hand to answer questions. Learn more

Celebrate the renewal of Coralville's Old Town Hall! A reception will follow the dedication, and exhibits will be on display from the Johnson County Historical Society. Old Town Hall has recently been restored for public use. Learn more

Reimagine 5th

5th Street Celebration & Street Dance

Between 7th & 9th Avenues

Saturday, August 20 | 6:00-11:00 pm

Commemorate the ongoing renewal of 5th Street with a street dance and celebration! Throughout much of 2015, a section of 5th Street was closed due to reconstruction, improvements, and flood protection projects, and we’d like to thank the community for their patience. Enjoy live music and a street dance, a kids' zone, and 5th Street open houses. Admission is free; food and beverages are available for purchase. Learn more

Make One Last Splash

The summer is winding down, but there’s still time to splash and swim at Coralville’s outdoor pool, open daily through August 21. After August 21, the Aquatic Center will close for the season. Learn more

Friday, September 2

Celebrate all that is Hawkeye! This year’s festival highlights Hawkeye rivalries and the unveiling of a new bronze statue of iconic coach Hayden Fry. The day is full of Hawkeye merchandise, discussions, autographs, trivia, a blood drive, pep rally, and more. Wristbands are $5 for the High Porch Block Party, which includes Hairball in concert, bags games, a kids zone, and fireworks. All events, except the High Porch Block Party, are free. Learn more
