Biodegradable Yard Waste Bag

Curb It!

Yard waste collection begins early

With the arrival of spring weather, Coralville is picking up yard waste curbside on Wednesdays through March 30. Beginning April 4, the seasonal yard waste collection schedule resumes with yard waste pickup on regular garbage collection days.

Place yard waste in a Coralville biodegradable yard waste bag, or in a 33-gallon container with an annual yard waste sticker. Learn more

Give Back at Community Blood Drive

One donation can save up to three lives

The University of Iowa DeGowin Blood Center and the City of Coralville have again teamed up for a blood drive at Coralville City Hall. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Learn more

Sign Ordinance Update

Hear about proposed changes and give input

Monday, March 21 | 12:00-1:00 pm

Coralville is in the process of reviewing and updating its sign ordinance. The ordinance regulates size, location, and setbacks for temporary and permanent signs, and sets minimum sign design, structural, and safety standards.
Learn about the proposed changes and provide input at a regular meeting of the Coralville Roundtable of the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce held at Brown Deer Golf Club. Lunch is $12; all are welcome. Learn more

Tell Us How You Travel

Public surveys open through March 25

The Metropolitan Planning Organization of Johnson County wants to know how and why Johnson County residents travel, so they have six anonymous, online transportation surveys (general transportation, passenger vehicle, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, and youth). Responses will help guide decisions about future area transportation improvements and investments. Learn more

Discuss Improvements to West Forevergreen Road

Iowa DOT to host public information meeting

Wednesday, March 30 | 5:00-6:30 pm

The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting at the North Liberty Recreation Center to discuss the proposed improvements to West Forevergreen Road from east of Kansas Avenue to Jones Boulevard in North Liberty. Iowa DOT staff will be available to address questions, concerns, and comments about the proposed improvements. For information, visit

4thFest Basket Auction

Saturday, April 2 | 4:30 pm

Raise funds for Coralville’s 4thFest celebration and bid on baskets filled with specialty items donated by area businesses and individuals. The event is at Brown Deer Golf Club; free and open to the public. Learn more

Putt Fore the Library

Sunday, April 3 | 11:00 am-4:00 pm

The book stacks become “caddystacks” at this 18 hole mini-golf course inside the Library, plus a toddler course, photo booth, popcorn, and raffle! Ages five and under play for free with a paying adult. Learn more
