Homebuyer Assistance Available

Program aids first-time homebuyers with down payment & repair funds

First-time homebuyers in Coralville may be eligible for down payment assistance and home repair funds.  The Homebuyer Assistance Program is administered by the East Central Iowa Council of Governments (ECICOG) in Cedar Rapids, with funding through the Iowa Finance Authority HOME Program and matching funds from the Housing Trust Fund of Johnson County. Proposed budget to be presented at next council meeting

Learn about the proposed budget for the City’s next fiscal year at a presentation during the City Council meeting on Tuesday, February 9 at 6:30 pm in City Hall.  Attend the meeting, watch live online or on Mediacom 118-8 digital, catch a rebroadcast, or stream the video later. Learn more

City Schedule for Presidents' Day

Trash & recycling pickup one day later than usual February 15-19

On Monday, February 15, City offices and the Library will be closed, Coralville Transit buses will run a normal schedule, and the Recreation Center and Indoor Pool will be open. All trash and recycling routes will be picked up one day later than usual the week of February 15. Learn more

Goodnight Moon and the Runaway Bunny

February 18

Presented by Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia. Sponsored by Hills Bank and Trust Company. An event for our youngest audience members! Goodnight Moon celebrates familiar bedtime rituals, while The Runaway Bunny’s tale of leaving home evokes reassurance from his loving mum. This staged adaptation brings an appreciation to stories that have delighted generations. Learn more

Books Abound at the Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Coralville Public Library Book Sale has over 7,000 used books!  Prices on Friday start at $1, and Saturday is half price. Proceeds benefit the Library. Learn more
