Yard Waste Season Winds DownPickup ends in late NovemberIf you have leaves and other fall yard waste to get rid of, now is the time to set it out; yard waste pickup runs until late November, weather permitting.
Coralville yard waste bags are $5/five at Coralville Hy-Vee stores, Theisen's, and City Hall. Use only Coralville yard waste bags; others will not be picked up. If you use a 33-gallon container, annual yard waste stickers are $25 at City Hall. Yard waste

Pass the Turkey & Gravy, Not Illness Free COVID-19 test kitsThis Thanksgiving, make sure the only thing you pass around the table is food. You can get a free COVID-19 test kit at City Hall and the Library as an added precaution to celebrate safely.
Everything you need is included, and instructions are in English and Spanish. Take the kit home, take the test, and return it to the dropbox at the State Hygienic Lab in Coralville, or use the enclosed UPS shipping label. You will get your results by email. COVID-19 test kit

Save the Date for Aisle of LightsThousands of luminarias shineSunday, December 12 | 5:00-9:00 pmCoralville glows when you light luminarias on your sidewalks and turn on your holiday lights for Aisle of Lights! To make luminarias, get free sacks and sand (bring a container) at the Aquatic Center parking lot December 6-12, and use your own candles. What's Open, What's Closed on ThanksgivingHours, closures, and trash & recyclingCity Hall, the Library, Recreation Center, and Indoor Pool will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 25 and 26. Transit will not operate on Thanksgiving, and on Friday the buses will run a Saturday route and schedule.
Trash and recycling for Thursday routes will be picked up the Monday after Thanksgiving. The week after Thanksgiving, all routes will be picked up one day later than usual. Thanksgiving schedule
