Get Your COVID-19 Vaccine

This is your shot to help our community

Now is the time to do all we can to keep our family, friends, and neighbors healthy:

  • Get fully vaccinated.
  • Use high-quality masks indoors and when you cannot keep a distance.

Unvaccinated people are at higher risk for severe illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19. Everyone age 12 and older is eligible for the free COVID-19 vaccine. Find a vaccine provider


2021 Coralville City Election

Running for Mayor & City Council

Deadline for candidates is September 16

Candidates running for Mayor or City Council in the November 2021 City election can file their candidacy with the Johnson County Auditor through September 16.

Being familiar with past and current council actions, along with a strong civic understanding, are crucial for a newly-elected official to hit the ground running. Check out our resources to get familiar with our city government. City election

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Donate to the utility assistance fund

Donations to Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Coralville's utility assistance fund, can help Coralville residents with utility bill payments. The City of Coralville matches each $1 donation with $0.25.

You can donate online, by mail, by dropbox, or in person. All donations help Coralville residents. Funds are given as they are available through United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties. Call 319.338.7823 if you need help with your bill. Donate


Mayor's Clean Up Week

Kick It to the Curb

Got trash too big for your cart?

October 4-8

If you have City trash service, you can throw away something too big to fit in your trash cart (like broken furniture or a busted bathroom fixture) for free during Mayor's Clean Up Week.

Some limits apply to the size, weight, and type of items that can be picked up. This pick up is for items that need to be thrown away. To get rid of other items, donate or reuse.  Clean Up Week

Johnson County Wants Your Feedback

How to use American Rescue Plan Act funds

Johnson County welcomes feedback on how to invest $29.3 million of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to respond to the COVID-19 crisis.

A public input session will be on September 13 from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Coralville Public Library. Residents, workers, businesses, and impacted industries are invited to participate. ARPA feedback

Struggling to Pay for Internet?

Get help with broadband costs

The Emergency Broadband Benefit program provides qualifying low-income households with up to $50 per month toward internet service, or a one-time discount up to $100 toward a tablet, laptop, or desktop.

Enrollment is open. This is a program through the FCC. Emergency Broadband Benefit

What's Happening at the Library

Free Community Meal

Friday, September 10  |  5:30-7:30 pm

Join us at the library for a free meal to-go, with support from the Coralville Community Food Pantry!

Wait in line to pick up a meal to take home, or bring lawn chairs and enjoy it on the library lawn. If the weather is bad, this will be drive-thru/walk-up. Parking is limited; we recommend parking nearby at S.T. Morrison Park.  Free meal
