Check out the upcoming events, meetings, activities, and performances at the City of Coralville. Highlights for the next two weeks include:

What's Open, What's Closed for Thanksgiving

Trash pickup dates worth noting

City offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 26 and 27. 

Coralville Transit will not run buses on Thanksgiving Day, and on Friday buses will run a Saturday route and schedule.

The Coralville Public Library will close at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, and will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The Recreation Center and Indoor Pool will be open on Friday.
Trash and recycling will not be picked up on Thanksgiving Day; Thursday routes will be picked up the Monday after Thanksgiving. The week after Thanksgiving, all routes will be picked up one day later than usual.

BrrrFest Ticket Sales Begin Friday

Online ticket sales for BrrrFest 2016 begin on Black Friday. BrrrFest celebrates the beers of winter and showcases craft beers by breweries from across the Midwest. A portion of the proceeds benefits Coralville’s 4thFest. Learn more

How to Recycle Holiday Lights

If you have old, burned out, or unwanted holiday lights, don’t trash them – recycle them instead!  Drop off strings of lights at any of the City’s five holiday light recycling locations. Learn more

Recreation Center Hosts Holiday Extravaganza

Saturday, December 5 | 9:00 am-1:00 pm

Coralville’s annual Holiday Extravaganza is the perfect place to find gifts for family, friends, and teachers while supporting local businesses. Free gift wrapping is available. Learn more

Aisle of Lights

Luminarias Shine on December 13

Coralville's Aisle of Lights tradition continues

Light luminarias on your sidewalks, turn on your holiday lights, and tour Coralville’s twinkling lights from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Sunday, December 13. 
Free sacks and sand to make your own luminarias are available beginning December 7. Aisle of Lights is sponsored by the University of Iowa Community Credit Union; sand is donated by Hawkeye Ready Mix. Many Coralville organizations and businesses will also host seasonal festivities throughout the day! Learn more

On Stage at the Center for the Performing Arts

Festival of Trees, Breakfast with Santa, & Auction

November 27 & 28

Celebrate the season at the Festival of Trees open house, have breakfast with Santa, or kick up your heels at a tree gala and auction. Events will be held at Brown Deer Golf Club, and support many programs of the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts.

This acoustic folk duo performs their own arrangements of traditional holiday hymns and carols.

Opera Workshop Scenes

December 5

Join the University of Iowa Opera Theatre for a wonderfully diverse evening of opera, free and open to the public.
