Recycle holiday tree

Recycling Reminders

Live holiday trees

Throughout the month of January, we'll pick up live holiday trees at the curb for customers with City of Coralville trash and recycling services.

Trees must be unflocked (not sprayed with fake snow). Remove decorations, tinsel, lights, and stands, and don't put your tree in a bag. If your tree is larger than six feet tall, cut it into sections. Holiday tree recycling

Holiday lights

Holiday lights

Don't throw away old holiday lights; recycle them! Drop off strings of lights at any of the area holiday light recycling locations through January 13.
Where to recycle holiday lights

Did holiday deliveries leave you with lots of cardboard? Corrugated cardboard is recyclable; in fact, it is banned from the landfill and is not allowed in your trash.
