The City of Coralville will observe the following schedule during the Thanksgiving holiday:
City Offices
City Hall and administrative offices of Fire and Police, along with the Parks, Water, Wastewater, Streets and Sanitation departments, will be closed on Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24, 2023.
Library
The Coralville Public Library will be closed on Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24. The Library will be open for services during normal business hours on Saturday, November 25.
Recreation Center & Indoor Pool
The Recreation Center and the Indoor Pool will be closed on Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24. The Recreation Center and Indoor Pool will be open normal business hours on Saturday, November 25. A detailed Indoor Pool schedule with lap swim and open swim times can be found at www.coralville.org/indoorpool.
Transit
There will be no Coralville Transit service Thursday, November 23. Transit service will run a Saturday route and schedule on Friday, November 24, and Saturday, November 25.
Coralville Center for the Performing Arts
The Coralville Center for the Performing Arts box office will be closed on Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24. Tickets are available online at www.coralvillearts.org.
Trash & Recycling Collection
Trash and recycling will be picked up on a regular schedule for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday routes for November 20-22.
Please note the following dates for the week of Thanksgiving and the week after for trash and recycling collection:
- Thursday, November 23 will be picked up Monday, November 27.
- Monday, November 27 will be picked up Tuesday, November 28.
- Tuesday, November 28 will be picked up Wednesday, November 29.
- Wednesday, November 29 will be picked up Thursday, November 30.
- Thursday, November 30 will be picked up Friday, December 1.
The Coralville Drive-In Recycling Center at 212 1st Street will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24. It will be open from 8:00 am until noon on Saturday, November 25. As always, trash and recycling should be at the curb by 7:00 am the day of collection. Appliances and electronics will be picked up by appointment on Thursday, November 16 and Friday, November 17.
