See information below from the Iowa DOT regarding a change in traffic control on 1st Avenue at I-80 starting the evening of Tuesday, August 29, and continuing through fall 2023.
- Northbound traffic on 1st Avenue wanting to head eastbound on I-80 will enter a right turn lane just north of E. 9th Street, and then turn right at the I-80 eastbound on-ramp.
- Southbound traffic on 1st Avenue wanting to head eastbound on I-80 will be detoured westbound on I-80, exit at Coral Ridge Avenue (Exit 240), turn left on Coral Ridge Avenue, and enter I-80 eastbound via the loop ramp.
