The City Council of the City of Coralville is accepting applications for appointments to the following Boards and Commision:
Board of Adjustment: 1 position (for one partial term expiring December 31, 2021)The City of Coralville has one opening on the Board of Adjustment. This board approves or denies variances of the Coralville Zoning Regulations, hears appeals of people aggrieved or affected by decisions of the Zoning Administrator, and decides if special exception uses of property are acceptable. (City Code; CH. 165.53). Meetings are the third Monday of each month at 6:00 pm. This is to fill the remainder of a five-year term term expiring December 31, 2021. About the Board of Adjustment
Civil Service Commission: 1 position (for one full term ending December 31, 2024)The Coralville Civil Service Commission exercises all responsibilities and duties in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Iowa for Civil Service Commissions (City Code, Ch. 25) and any policies, rules, or procedures adopted by the Civil Service Commission. Library Board of Trustees: 3 positions (for one partial term expiring December 31, 2024 and two full terms ending December 31, 2026) The City of Coralville has one opening on the Library Board of Trustees. This board recommends and reviews policies, rules, regulations, ordinances, and budgets relating to the Coralville Public Library. It directs and controls all affairs of the library and its property. It must make an annual report and financial estimate for the Council every year. (City Code; CH. 22). Meetings are the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm. About the Library Board of Trustees

Coralville residents interested in being considered for any of these positions may pick up an application at Coralville City Hall, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm or download an application.
Applications are due at City Hall, 1512 7th Street, or by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, December 4, 2020. Mayor John A. Lundell will recommend appointees to the Council for approval in December.
