Free Coralville Transit Rides on Election Day, November 3

Free Bus Rides on Election Day

Coralville Transit will provide free transit rides on Election Day on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. On Election Day, registered voters must vote at their polling place; polls are open from 7:00 am until 9:00 pm. Elections are managed by the Johnson County Auditor’s Office. Find your polling place 

Coralville Transit has bus stops near some of the polling sites in Coralville, but not all polling locations have direct transit service.

  • Coralville Precinct 1 (Coralville Public Library, 1401 5th Street): Served by the 5th Street and Night routes
  • Coralville Precinct 2 (Brown Deer Golf Club, 1900 Country Club Drive): Not directly served by Coralville Transit
  • Coralville Precinct 3 (TEMPORARY LOCATION: Kirkwood Regional Center, 2301 Oakdale Blvd.): Served by CAMBUS Research Park route
  • Coralville Precinct 4 (City Hall, 1512 7th Street): Served by the 5th Street and Night routes
  • Coralville Precinct 5 (Northwest Junior High, 1507 8th Street): Closest stop is the corner of 8th Street and 14th Avenue, served by the 10th Street and Night routes
  • Coralville Precinct 6 (Wickham School, 601 Oakdale Boulevard): Not directly served by Coralville Transit
  • Coralville Precinct 7 (North Ridge Pavilion, 2250 Holiday Road) Not directly served by Coralville Transit; closest stop is Holiday Road and Waterford drive, served by CAMBUS Research Park route

Johnson County SEATS will provide free rides to the polls for paratransit riders on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2020. For a full list of transit providers offering free transportation to the polling locations in Johnson County on Election Day, go to www.johnsoncountyiowa.gov/mobility.

Plan Your Trip
New Coralville Transit bus routes and schedules go into effect on October 19, 2020, two weeks before Election Day, and should be used when planning which bus to take. If you plan to vote in person on Election Day, as Election Day draws near, you can plan your trip using any of these options:
