Changes to bus routes and schedules are proposed for Coralville Transit, aimed at improving local bus service and coordination between local transit agencies. A map of the proposed routes and a description of each route is available at www.coralville.org/transitstudy.
The route changes are based on public feedback, research, and data from the recent Iowa City Area Transit Study. The Transit Study included opportunities for the public to provide input and weigh in on possible bus service changes through on-bus surveys, six public meetings, two online surveys, email, social media, and news releases.
A public hearing for the proposed transit changes will be held during the Coralville City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 28 at 6:30 pm at Coralville City Hall, 1512 7th Street. For questions about routes, contact Vicky Robrock, Director of Parking and Transportation, at email@example.com or 319.248.1790. To submit written comments for the public hearing, send comments by 5:00 pm on July 28, 2020, to Thor Johnson, City Clerk, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 1512 7th Street, Coralville, Iowa, 52241.
If approved by the City Council, the new routes would go into effect in the fall of 2020.
