Coralville City Hall Closes to the Public

City Hall

Coralville City Hall will close to the public effective Thursday, March 19, at 5:00 pm. Closing City Hall to the public is part of efforts to maximize social distancing and to protect the health of citizens and staff. The closure will remain in effect until otherwise noted.

The City of Coralville continues to address the COVID-19 public health challenge with local, state, and federal partners. City services continue to the greatest extent possible. Although City Hall will close to the public, residents can continue to conduct city business by phone, online, or by mail:

  • Many payments and services can be completed via www.coralville.org.
  • Utility bills can be paid online at www.coralville.org (click “Pay & View Utility Bill”), placed in the drop box in the City Hall parking lot, 1512 7th Street, or made by phone at 319.248.1700. Telephone payments will only be accepted while City Hall is closed to the public.
  • Yard waste stickers can be purchased by mail. Send a check for $25.50 to Coralville City Hall, 1512 7th Street, and include “annual yard waste sticker” in the memo, as well as the name and mailing address for the sticker.  Once received, stickers will be mailed the next business day when possible.
  • Parking citations can be paid by mail; instructions appear on the parking citation.
  • Job applications can be completed online at www.coralville.org/jobs.

City Hall will be open for the City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 24 and social distancing will be required. If you wish to make a public comment but do not wish to attend, written comments for the March 24 City Council meeting should be sent by 5:00 pm on March 24 to City Clerk Thor Johnson at tjohnson@coralville.org or 1512 7th Street, Coralville, IA 52241.
