Yard Waste Collection DatesWith the anticipated arrival of spring weather, yard waste collection resumes in Coralville in mid-March.
Due to the low volume of early-season yard waste, the City will begin curbside yard waste collection on a special schedule: yard waste will be picked up for all routes on Monday and Friday the weeks of March 16 and March 23.
Beginning the week of March 30, the seasonal yard waste collection schedule resumes with curbside pickup of yard waste on regular garbage collection days for all routes. The yard waste collection season lasts until late November as weather permits.
What to Do with Yard WastePlace yard waste in a Coralville biodegradable yard waste bag, or in a 33-gallon container that has an annual yard waste sticker. There is a 40 pound weight limit per bag / container.Coralville biodegradable yard waste bags are available for $1 each at Coralville City Hall, both Coralville Hy-Vee locations, and Theisen’s.The 2020 annual yard waste stickers are on sale at City Hall for $25 each, or $25.50 by mail, and are valid through the end of the 2020 yard waste season.
What to Do with Brush & Tree LimbsCurbside pickup of brush and tree limbs is available during yard waste collection season on your regular trash / recycling day at no charge. Brush and tree limbs must be tied in bundles, with each bundle no greater than 18 inches in diameter. Individual limbs in the bundles should be no larger than 2 inches in diameter and 4 feet long.
