Re-Imagine Your Ride at Transit Open Houses & Online Survey

Reimagine Your Ride

***Updated December 9 with contact information for transit survey***

Share your ideas for improving the area’s public transit system

Whether you are a regular transit rider, only ride the bus occasionally, or have never been on a bus, the City of Coralville wants your feedback on our transit system.

Coralville, the City of Iowa City, and the University of Iowa will each host a public open house for the community to learn more about the Iowa City Area Transit Study and provide input on the transit systems.

The Iowa City Area Transit Study will look at many aspects for our transit systems. For Coralville, this includes routes, stops, ridership, hours of service, and more. The study will also look at coordination between Coralville Transit, Iowa City Transit, and University of Iowa Cambus.

Transit Study Open Houses
A transit study open house is scheduled in Coralville on Thursday, November 14, from 6:30-8:30 pm at Coralville City Hall.  A total of three area open houses are scheduled:

  • University of Iowa: Tuesday, November 12, 2019, 5:00-7:00 pm, IMU in the Historic Iowa River Room, Room 341
  • City of Iowa City: Wednesday, November 13, 2019, 6:30-8:30 pm, Iowa City Public Library
  • City of Coralville: Thursday, November 14, 2019, 6:30-8:30 pm, Coralville City Hall

Design Your Own Transit System
The area transit study also includes a “Design Your Own Transit System” survey.  This brief online survey allows the public to provide feedback about ways to improve local bus service, and to give their opinion about which aspects of the transit system are most important. The survey closed in early December 2019. If you missed the survey but would still like to comment, please email
