Mayor's Clean Up Week 2015
Monday, October 5, 2015
Held in the spring and fall, Mayor's Clean Up Week is a great time to set out items too large for bags, such as furniture and bathroom fixtures, for free garbage pickup.
Items are picked up at no charge and should be placed on the curb up to 24 hours before or by 7:00 am on your regular trash collection day. Items not taken in the pickup should be removed from the curb within 24 hours after collection day.
Metal will be picked up by a separate truck and may not occur on your regular collection day.
Extra Bags of Garbage or Yard Waste
All extra bags of garbage or yard waste must be tagged as usual.
Construction materials, appliances, electronics, or hazardous materials will not be picked up.
A Note About Cardboard
If you have a large amount of cardboard to recycle, please consider setting it out the week before or after Mayor’s Clean Up Week. Or, take it to the
Coralville Recycling Center
, 110 E. 7th Street, due to excessive cardboard collection during Mayor's Clean Up Week.
