The Coralville Police Department has 32 full-time officers, one full-time community service / animal control officer, and four civilian staff who provide public safety services to the citizens of Coralville.

The Department uses bicycle, foot, and vehicle patrol to provide public safety services. In addition, the Department includes Emergency Medical Technicians as first responder units when responding to medical calls.
