Saturday, December 11, 2010

Coralville's 30th annual Aisle of Lights weekend includes free events throughout Coralville on December 11 and 12, and miles luminarias available for viewing beginning at 5:00 pm on Sunday evening, December 12.

See how 30,000 white paper sacks, each filled with sand and a votive candle, can create a magical scene on a winter evening!  Local businesses donate the sacks and sand for the luminarias, which are distributed to area residents by neighborhood block captains. For block captain information, contact Herb Staub at 319.351.3848.

Individuals are responsible for purchasing votive candles for the sacks and for cleaning up by 9:00 am on Monday.
