4thFEST 2013 Parade Marshals Thanks for a Fabulous 4thFEST!  
Thank you to the community members, generous sponsors and donors, participants, volunteers, and staff who made this year’s 4thFEST celebration, A Blast From the Past, possible!   
Pictured (left to right) are 2013 Parade Marshals Sherry Carpenter, Margaret Morgan, and (Rep.) Dick Myers; each had a key role in the 30-year history of the 4thFEST parade.  
Summer Road Projects
Construction projects are in progress or scheduled this summer in the following areas:

Now – September: University Parkway, University Court, Ridgeway Drive
Now – October: Oakdale Boulevard Extension to Dubuque Street
Now – December: Heartland Drive/Commerce Drive area
July 10 – July 13: 12th Avenue, between 5th and 6th Streets
July 15 – August 20: 12th Avenue, between 5th and 8th Streets
July 29 – August 2: 12th Avenue Bridge over I-80 (final phase)
August 1 – September 15: 20th Avenue, between 9th Street Place and 10th Street  
Construction Changes Transit’s Express Route 
Due to construction, the Coralville Transit Express Route is running with temporary changes to schedules and stops until mid-September. Learn more 
Park It at the Movies on July 19
Enjoy a free showing of Men in Black III (PG-13) beginning at dusk in S.T. Morrison Park on Friday, July 19, sponsored by Hills Bank.  In the event of rain, the movie will be on Saturday, July 20. Learn more 
140th Birthday Button Coralville Birthday Buttons on Sale 
Commemorative 140th birthday buttons are on sale for $3 each at City Hall, the Recreation Center, and the Johnson County Historical Museum. Wear a button and get a discount at participating businesses!  Learn more 
On Stage at the Center for the Performing Arts
UI Summer Opera presents Gilbert & Sullivan’s comic operetta Iolanthe from July 11 through July 14.  Then, Young Footliters perform Disney’s The Little Mermaid, JR from July 19 to July 21. Learn more
