Meet the Police Chief Candidates

Get to know the four finalists

Friday, January 13 | 4:00-6:00 pm

The community is invited to meet the four candidates interviewing to be Coralville’s next police chief at a reception at City Hall, where the public can talk with the candidates and ask questions in an informal environment.

Following the reception, the candidates will participate in an assessment center and final interviews, with appointment by City Administrator Kelly Hayworth, subject to approval of the City Council, expected in late January.

About the search

Candidates were selected following a national search process, review, and evaluation guided by Des Moines-based Moulder and Associates Police Management Consultants. The Coralville Civil Service Commission narrowed the list to six candidates, which was further narrowed to four by City Administrator Kelly Hayworth. It is anticipated that the new Chief of Police will begin work in February.
