5th Street to Reopen on December 12
A reconstructed and renewed street returns
Welcome back, old friend. On Saturday, December 12, the 5th Street corridor between 1st and 10th Avenues will completely reopen to traffic.
You'll notice wider sidewalks, brick paver crosswalks, stormwater planters, new street lighting, an overlook at Biscuit Creek, and on-street parking at the 1876 Schoolhouse. 5th Street was raised seven feet over Biscuit Creek to complete the last piece of flood mitigation north of Clear Creek. New trees and plants in the stormwater planters will wait until next spring. Learn more
