Coralville Accepting Applications for Two City Boards

The City Council of the City of Coralville is accepting applications for appointments to the following Boards:

Library Board of Trustees (for term expiring December 31, 2024): 1 position
The City of Coralville has one opening on the Library Board of Trustees. This board recommends and reviews policies, rules, regulations, ordinances, and budgets relating to the Coralville Public Library. It directs and controls all affairs of the library and its property. It must make an annual report and financial estimate for the Council every year (City Code; CH. 22). Meetings are the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm. 

Board of Adjustment (for term expiring December 31, 2019): 1 position
The City of Coralville has one opening on the Board of Adjustment. This board approves or denies variances of Coralville Zoning Regulations, hears appeals of people aggrieved or affected by decisions of the Zoning Administrator, and decides if special exception uses of property are acceptable (City Code; CH. 165.53). Meetings are the third Monday of the month at 6:00 pm.

Coralville citizens interested in being considered for any of these positions may pick up an application at Coralville City Hall, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm or download an application.

Applications are due at City Hall, 1512 7th Street, or by e-mail to Thor Johnson, City Clerk, tjohnson@coralville.org, no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, May 24, 2019.

Mayor John A. Lundell will recommend appointees to the Council for approval in June.
