Indoor PoolCoralville's Indoor Pool (1506 8th Street) includes times for lap swim, open swim, and family swim, and features a climbing wall, separate wading pool, and a whirlpool spa. Shelter HouseShelter House (429 Southgate Avenue, Iowa City) is Johnson County’s 70-bed homeless shelter with a men's dorm, women's dorm, and family rooms. Signup for admission to the shelter begins daily at 6:00 pm; you must be present to sign up.
Low-Barrier Winter Emergency ShelterThe Low-Barrier Winter Emergency Shelter (821 S. Clinton Street, Iowa City, at the corner of Clinton Street and Benton Street) is open daily from 5:00 pm-8:00 am in December through March. It provides minimal overnight accommodations for individuals experiencing homelessness during the coldest months of the year, despite barriers they may have such as substance abuse.
