Summer Reading Rocks with the Library's Summer Reading Program

Families will experience plenty of reading enjoyment this summer by taking part in Coralville Public Library’s "Libraries Rock!" summer reading programs. Registration begins at the Library on Thursday, May 24 from 5:00-6:30 pm and includes free ice cream, and registration will continue throughout the summer. A combination of Library events and at-home participation promises an exciting summer for all.

Children can create, learn, explore, and read through weekly events, stories, crafts, and outstanding guest performances. Children younger than age 3 who complete the reading program will receive a board book; preschoolers through students in sixth grade will earn a t-shirt sponsored by Hills Bank & Trust.

An action-packed summer full of movies, scavenger hunts, games, music, contests, and great prizes awaits teens at the Coralville Library. Check for weekly activities and more information.

Adults can read or listen to just six books of their choice to be entered into a drawing for prizes, including an Ipad Mini and gift certificates to local bookstores. All adults who complete the program will receive a coupon for a free book at a Friends of the Coralville Library book sale. Check and the program calendar for a summer filled with movie musicals.

For more information about the Library's Summer Reading Program, visit, visit the Library at 1401 5th Street, or call 319.248.1850.
