Families can experience plenty of reading enjoyment this summer by taking part in Coralville Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, Build a Better World. Program registration begins in person at the Library on Wednesday, May 31, from 5:00 until 6:30 pm and includes free ice cream; online registration begins June 1. Participation in the program is free. A combination of Library events and at-home participation promises an exciting summer for all ages.

Children
Create, learn, explore, and read! Children can join us for weekly events, stories, crafts, and outstanding guest performances. Children younger than three years old who complete the reading program will receive a board book; preschoolers through students in sixth grade will earn a t-shirt sponsored by Hills Bank & Trust.

Teens
An action-packed summer full of movies, scavenger hunts, games, volunteer opportunities, crafts, contests, and great prizes awaits teens at the Coralville Library. Visit the library website for weekly activities and more information.

Adults
Adults can read or listen to six books of their choice to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win prizes, including gift certificates to local bookstores and a Kindle Fire. In addition, all adults who complete the program will receive a coupon for a free book at a Friends of the Coralville Library book sale. The Adult Summer Reading Program includes a film screening of La La Land on July 19.
