Coralville Hosts Recycle Swap Day, Shred Event & City Wide Garage Sale

Shred and Recycle Swap days

The City of Coralville is hosting a trio of earth-friendly events where residents can shop, swap, and shred on Saturday, May 6. Take advantage of these opportunities to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

City-Wide Garage Sale: Saturday, May 6, 8:00 am to noon
List your sale, or find a treasure at the annual Coralville City-Wide Garage Sale. Starting at 8:00 am on May 6, shoppers can stop by the Coralville Recreation Center, 1506 8th Street, to pick up a map of participating sales and grab a first come, first served continental breakfast. Sale registrations are accepted through April 26. For more information or to list your sale, call 319.248.1750. Learn more

Recycle Swap Day: Saturday, May 6, 8:00 am to noon

This 13th annual free event at the Coralville City Hall parking lot, 1512 7th Street, keeps items out of the landfill and gives a new home to unwanted items. Donate clean, usable items or pick up items donated by others. Donations should be in good condition; working appliances, furniture, household items, toys, books, clothing, and canned food for the Coralville Community Food Pantry are accepted. Treasure hunters are welcome, regardless of donations to swap. For more information, call 319.248.1720. Learn more

Community Shred Event: Saturday, May 6, 10:00 am to noon

Help prevent identity theft. Bring up to two boxes of personal papers to the Coralville Community Aquatic Center parking lot, 1513 7th Street, and watch through the mobile shredding truck monitor while they are shredded, courtesy of the Coralville Police Department and Heartland Shredding. For more information, call 319.248.1800. Learn more
