Aisle of Lights 2013
Sunday, December 15
Coralville's 33rd annual Aisle of Lights weekend includes free events throughout Coralville on Sunday, December 15, 2013, and miles luminarias beginning at 5:00 pm. Aisle of Lights 2013 is made possible in part by a donation from the Iowa City Area Association of Realtors.
See how 30,000 white paper sacks, each filled with sand and a votive candle, can create a magical scene on a winter evening!
How to Participate
Pick up sacks and sand
(both donated by local businesses) from your neighborhood block captain. To find your block captain or volunteer to be one, please contact area coordinator Herb Staub at 319.351.3848. You can still participate even if you don't have a block captain!
Buy votive candles
for the sacks. Lenoch and Cilek Ace Hardware has them as supplies last, and donates a portion of the sale back to help fund next year's activities.
Place sacks weighted with sand on your sidewalk
for viewing by 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 15.
Please clean up luminaries by 9:00 am on Monday.
