Reuse items or find a treasure at the annual spring City Wide Garage Sale. The City lists registered sales in The Gazette, and the Recreation Center offers a free continental breakfast and a map of participating garage sales.

Mayor's Clean Up Weeks
May 4-8, 2015 & October 5-9, 2015
Each spring and fall residents set out items too large for bags, such as furniture and bathroom fixtures, to be picked up on trash collection day at no charge. Garbage and yard waste must be tagged as usual. Metal is picked up by a separate truck and may not occur on collection day.

Items not accepted for pickup:
  • Appliances
  • Construction materials
  • Electronics
  • Hazardous waste

Recycle Swap Day
Saturday, May 2, 2015
This free spring event at City Hall keeps items out of the landfill when citizens donate or trade clean, usable items as a form of recycling. Items left at the end of the day are donated to non-profit organizations.

  • Small appliances
  • Clothing
  • Furniture and large appliances
  • Toys
  • Recyclable paper
  • Household items
