Coralville picks up curbside recycling the same day as garbage.
All curbside recycling containers must be City-issued yellow bins with black lids. Each home may have two recycling bins upon request. The bins may be checked out at City Hall at no charge. If your bin is lost, stolen, or damaged, you are responsible for the cost of a replacement bin ($15). If you move, please leave the recycling bin at your service address.
Whether using one or two containers, recyclables must be sorted. How to sort
If using two containers, please separate recyclable items using one bin for paper and cardboard and the other bin for metals and plastics.
Recyclables may be taken to the Coralville Drop-off Recycling Center, which accepts the same items as curbside recycling. Due to continued growth in the Iowa River Landing, Coralville's drop-off recycling site is moving and will be open 24 hours a day.
